Some questions regarding trucks.

The light trucks are the Kubelwaqen and the Jeep, or are these in a different class?

The Deuce and a Half is the 'heavy' US truck, correct?

The only reference I have to the Horch is as a 1.5 ton truck. Is this right and would this be a 'medium' truck?

This leaves the generic German and British trucks. Will these be in the 'heavy' class?

Why generic German and British trucks and not the Opel Blitz or the Bedford QL and the AEC Matador?

I assume the Humber is the armored car and not a saloon, tourer, or 4X4 utility vehicle. I think it'd be kind of neat, though, to see a touring car roaming aroung on the battlefield. http://www.battlefront.com/discuss/smile.gif

Are you going to add any more armored cars/recon vehicles? I see there is already one for each army. Things like the Sdkfz 221, 222, and 231 for the Germans. And the Staghound, Daimler and AEC for the Allies.

Any more of the dizzying array of 1/2-tracks. Like some variations of the Sdkfz 250 and 251 or US 1/2 tracks. (I'm hoping for the M16 MGMC http://www.battlefront.com/discuss/smile.gif )

Lastly, any possibility of any of the non-weapon carrying German 1/2-tracks like the Sdkfz 7 through 10. If I can have an 88-mm gun, I want an Sdkfz-7 to haul it around. http://www.battlefront.com/discuss/smile.gif

Noe of these vehicles are really necessary. It's just that you've put so much effort into the large number of squads, formations, and AFVs that it would add a sense of ompleteness to have a nice complement of lesser vehicles. If nothing else, it would give us something new to ooohh and aaahh over. Everyone has seen a Panther, but how many people know what a Dodge T214 looks like?

Maybe some of these could be add on vehicles if it is worth your while to do so.

Jason:
I can answer a couple of your questions, if that is OK-

I would call the Deuce-and-a-half a medium truck- there was also a 5 ton that was used, but not nearly as much. The 2-1/2 would be able to carry a squad easily enough, if I recall.

The Horch 1a is probably more closely similar to the Dodge 3/4 ton weapons carrier, at least in size, anyway. It could carry 4-5 people.

Of your list of like to have's, I think I would like to see the 222 and the M16 Quad- the M16 would be ferocious, that would bust a few heads! We need a Churchill VII and a Universal Carrier, too. I get the impression that the above is a partial list, so we will see.

Nice AFV list but The Universal Carrier, Churchill VII, Sextons, Canadian made Kangaroo APC's and the best Brit tank of the war and possibly the best allied tank of the war, the Comet.
Anyway these vehicles are just suggestions the list looks good as it is http://www.battlefront.com/discuss/smile.gif
One more Question about infantry, is there specific squads like in cc2 or not?
thanks alot.

I think I can answer on a few of those too I recall that Steve has said that the Kangaroos and M16 will be in and possibly the M15. I can't imagine the Bren carrier not being in and the Sexton would be good to but I guess it is fairly interchangeable with the Priest (functionally speaking).

My understanding is that it is planned to add more vehicles down the track so if your favourite misses out in the initial release you can always lobby to have it added later (I am sure Steve will thank me for that one!).

Hmm, it would be nice to be able to haul *some* heavy weapons around on trucks.

Personally, I do *not* think I would want to have to set-up an 88 during gameplay. As the Allied player, for the 88 to hit me, it has to see me, which means I can see it (maybe), and if I *were* to Id an 88, I would try my damnedest to take it out before it ever got set-up.

Note I said that this list was:

quote:
Here are the ones that are already in and/or modeled already

This means that the list only covers what is actually in the game and driving around, not what will be included http://www.battlefront.com/discuss/smile.gif

Kevin is correct, the Deuce and a Half is only a medium truck. There was a 5ton and (not sure if this was WWII) a 10ton truck as well. We aren't paying as much attention to the trucks as other vehicles since their use in CM is VERY limited (i.e. most often you shouldn't have any trucks what-so-ever). The reason we aren't having Bedfords of Blitz trucks is because we don't have textures for them. So the choice is using something or nothing http://www.battlefront.com/discuss/smile.gif BTW, I just saw a Dodge Command Truck this past weekend. Nice vehicle, but we don't have a texture set for that either.

Lt. Canada, all the vheicles you mention are going to be in the game. In fact, most are already done up in 3D form, but the textures haven't been finished. The Comet was a fine tank. Not sure what you meant about "specific squads", so if you could explain that one I will answer it.

I think some of os was a littel afraid that the list above was final.
I indeed hope that the lesser known vehicles like the SIG33 and som of the Flak vehicles (Sdkfz 7. and Mobelwagen) vill be included ind the final game.
Continue the good work!

Don't forget the M36 TD. I know that you probably already have it in but just in case.

Probably won't do the Möbelwagen, but will do a Wirbelwind. I foget how many of each were made, but the numbers for both were quite small.

Yup, the Jackson is very much on our list. In fact, it is already built but not finished yet.

Working on the Churchill and Croc today.
