Victory location

Is the victory location the mission? Sometimes when the VL is defensible I rush to the VL. However, many times the VL is so exposed that I know the other guy is going to rush it and I will pour fire into the VL and win by inflicting so many casulties that even if he has the VL at the end of the scenario he loses. (also one has to win the tank battle) Lately I view the VL as the right place to shoot and neither party wins the VL. If its the "mission", however, I'm being gamey.

No you're not being gamey, it sounds like you've worked out what most veterans of the game recommend - don't fixate on the VL, the important thing is to defeat the enemy.

I agree with Firefly completely. Not gamey at all.

Terrian around, and the distance between, VLs quite often dictate how I approach the battle.
