floating ICQ

when i'm using the beta demo , my floating icq doesn't appear , it does with all of my other software. is there someway to get it to float on top of the demo's graphics ?

Games take over the whole screen, you won't float icq over a Quake screen, you won't over CM's , unless the game runs in a windowed mode on your desktop http://www.battlefront.com/discuss/biggrin.gif

Just press escape to go back to the desktop

I think your refering to the Mac version of ICQ where the floater is always over all the apps. It's no real loss. Just use command-tab when ever you hear a message come in.

However for some reason you can switch out of and then back into CM when it's not in the game. If you are in any part of the game where it is 2d then forsome reason when you try to switch back into CM you get a black screen. Just my experience. http://www.battlefront.com/discuss/smile.gif
