There is a new Ft Knox map at the TacOps HQ web site available for downloading.
http://www.battlefront.com/resources/tacops/Maproom/index.html

Scroll down the page until you find the thumbnail link labeled Map231c. To download a Mac or Windows version of the map, scroll farther on down the page to the list of map links. By the way, map file names that end in 'c' require TacOps v3.0.

There is also a printable version of the map there. Scroll down the page until you find the 'Maps for Printing' links - look for map231c.gif or map231c.bmp.

This is a medium fidelity interpretation of an 18 km by 23 km area just Southwest of Ft. Knox that is often used for US Army map exercises. It has a topographic map scan background. Requires TacOps v3.0. Authors: Captain McLamb USA and myself.

The high ground, woods, levels of roughness, etc were coded as desired by Captian MacLamb for his classroom usage. I did not code every little structure on the map as town terrain. I mainly stuck to the few larger towns/villages on the map and a few other places at road intersections where I thought a few buildings might be more tactically significant. If this were a European map I would likely have coded much more town terrain but I don't have much respect for scattered, American wood frame construction http://www.battlefront.com/discuss/smile.gif.
