Where is german motorcycles with sidecars?

They could only hold one other person and were basically scouting units. You could probably find a mod for one but they'd have no use in the game except being a novelty.

I disagree with Hilhil45. If motoercycles w/sidecars were included, they could double as fast arty spotters, plus they can defend themselves if armed with an MG34. Odds are they'll never see the light of day inside CMBO or the yet unnamed CM2, but they definitely would have a niche on the battlefield.

I believe BTS's take on them was the same as horses- troops would have used them to get to the battle, but would have dismounted to fight. Hence, they aren't within the scale of a 30-60 minute battle as simulated by CM.

And no, there aren't any mods for them. You can only change the textures, or "skins" of vehicles, not the actual shapes or characteristics.

I guess you have a point Admiral....except the driver and passenger are so vulnerable to enemie fire....but if they made them fast enough they could be used as art spotters but other than that there to weak for much else.

Vulnerable? Heck, yeah. Them BMW motorcycles won't stop .50 caliber rounds much less bugs. But considering how vulnerable and SLOW arty spotters are, I'd pay a few deutschmarks for a quick getaway vehicle, especially when I saw a halftrack headed towards me.

When CM is going out?

And the guy in M/sidecar is not so vulnerable like a soldier in Jeep!

There's always the kubelwagen. Also, arty spotters can hide and keep firing, but the firing will be less accurate and will have a longer delay.

He'd be just as vulnerable. The sheet metal of a sidecar wouldn't stop a bullet, and the driver wouldn't even have sheet metal.

To post a pic, you have to put the URL in between these brackets yoururlhere

The picture must be hosted on a website or a photo album such as Photopoint. Make sure you don't use spaces or returns in between the brackets and the url. For example,
yoururlhere won't work, because of the space.

The Allies have a Jeep and a Jeep MG

The Axis only have an unarmed Kublewagon.

The Sidecar with a MG34 would be the Axis equivalent of the Jeep MG......Oh my god we need another Patch!!!

I would love to see the BMW R75 or the Zundap 750 included......CM 2 maybe?

PS. My own Motorbike and sidecar is going into the Paintshop next week for the Field Grau paint job http://www.battlefront.com/discuss/smile.gif

My bike is jet black, does that mean I could model it as an SS vehicle?

Sorry, Stuka, there's no room for tricycles in CMBO. Try modeling it in Barbie's Virtual Reality Playhouse, sucker.

This is an old topic.

Here are two threads, the first contains an answer from Steve:
