Well, in case you didn't find it on your own, I somehow managed to find time to make up 5 new QT movies (went to bed at 7am, that's how <g>) Go to the Combat Mission Resource area and check out the QT movies. Unfortunately, I have not yet had a chance to make a high res movie. Problem is it wanted more hard disk space than I had to spare, so I need to get another Jaz disk before I can do it. Working with 400MB+ files really sucks http://www.battlefront.com/discuss/wink.gif Yup, that is how much about 20 seconds of raw, uncrompressed video comes out to be!
Anyhoo, enjoy all the new sights and sounds we have to offer.

good luck in your venture, I hope CM sells well through this site and more developers (of quality products) will come into the fold http://www.battlefront.com/discuss/smile.gif
Congratulations from Germany. History is being written here!

Looks good guys.. Love the new screen shots. I guess its time I get off my butt and pre-order. (well, actually, the wonderful thing about the internet is that I can order and stay on my butt).
The website sort of gives the impression that cm will only be marketed directly through battlefront.. Or is it going to be appearing soon at a store near me? If so, I hope the pre-orders will get priority. I've seen software show up at the retailer first.. not cool.
But as usual, I digress.

CRourke, CM will be sold from battlefront ONLY. No storshelves, no merchandising, no bribing suits for shelfspace, this is it.
But the message "not sold anywhere else" has been used so often by people who didn't mean it that when someone finally MEANS it, we have a hard time believing it.
Read the manifesto and you'll see why BTS really *MEANS* it.

Ahh.. I do seem to remember reading something somewhere about the incredible evils of distributing software.. I guess that was here.
The only unfortunate side effect of selling only through the mail is that you diminish your chance to sell to the "I've won panzer general 33 times, now what?" crowd. But I guess thats the way it goes. Anyway, off to preorder my copy.

Congratulations on the new site. I like the feeling that you get from the quick time movies. That sound of tanks rolling along is menacing. Makes me think that if I can take one out in CM, maybe I could have in real life, hehe http://www.battlefront.com/discuss/smile.gif
Congrats on the new site and having solved the publishing issue. Hey, if you want
something done right, you often have to do it yourself. http://www.battlefront.com/discuss/smile.gif
BTW, GREAT movies! I love how the guns recoil and the sound of the bombs going
off from that air strike sounded very believable. Nice work. http://www.battlefront.com/discuss/smile.gif

I wouldn't rule out seeing CM on store shelves. I'm thinking in particular of those small, specialist, military -gaming and/or -book stores. The one in my city does this with Panthers in the Shadows and Tigers on the Prowl, by HPS. It would be a shame, in my opinion, if Battlefront expressly forbade the selling of a few copies of CM in these small specialist stores.

Get back to work. What you hold is a false sliver of the True Cross. I have one that is at least 3 months older:

Actually, here's one that was started about 3 months before this one:
Earlier thread (http://www.battlefront.com/cgi-bin/bbs/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=1&t=000015)
I wonder if any of the threads that used to be on the Big Time Software homepage are still available anywhere?

Hi,
I would be very grateful if someone could help.
Where is the Combat Mission Resource area?
I know I am being thick, but could someone give a bit more of a hint as to where to get the movies.
Its not April the 1st, is it?
All the best,
Kip.

i thought they meant the "resourse" button on the left side of this website, but its not there?!? for the other two, your not the only ones who are being thick! all that gameyness has drained my ability to think logically, ha!

The Resource area I'm guessing was 'back then'. Since the game is out now, it doesn't exist anymore unless BTS can find/recreate/wish it back into existence/etc. smile.gif
Remember, that original post was over 2 years ago.

Nope, I can't locate the Resource Center either. Is this another of those 'PC only' things like replacement sounds? It's a tough life on a mac.

That has some great links. In particular, Bob's vacation pictures have tons of wonderful views, especially vehicle interiors.
