Where oh where is translations for unit names?

Is there a place, site, or page I can go to for help with the unit selection screen? I see tons of German units but I have no idea what they mean in english....like whats the difference between the Waffen(SS)...and the paratroops? Is there a quality or firepower difference? I know the main branch translations but I dont know the differnce between the units inside the branches.

I don't think there's any use to do a "translation" since there are rarely any English terms available.
Example: Waffen Schutzstaffel ~ Weapon Security Force, does that help you? I think not...

However, what's interesting are the game properties of each unit, and by simply pointing at them in the list you get some vital info below. Number of men per squad and weapon composition is really all you need to know to get the general idea...
