Hi all....progress is being made on this mod... a Zimmerit covered Jagdpanther.
I had intended to do it after my Marder/Wespe...but decided to put that on the back burner for now.

many hours work left to do.... insignia , battle damage , details , tools , tracklinks etc all have to be added...and dirt too smile.gif

Grateful thanks to Fernando for his permission to use parts of his Panther mono colour series mods.

regards

Måkjager

I love that camo sceme. Great looking mod. We'll be waiting. I'm sure it's not done so am probably crying for nothing but you never know so may I suggest a German cross and markings be included?

I may have just found something to replace my ancient KwazyDog JagdPanther. It does look a little bare though, LCM has the right idea. Some markings or just a cross would be nice.

Aye....a dangerous beast indeed ;)

It is still a work in progress...and you have nothing to fear Re: it being bare,,,,,,i am just working it up to a level that i am happy with before i give it the cross , tools , tracklinks and weathering.

There will also be a red brown / dark yellow and tri colour cammo version...mb evenn a winter one as well ;)

I have based this mod around ones that seen service with sPzJg Abt 654 in Normandy... i am even trying my hand at drsigning a scenario with em in it "Debut at Caumont" which i "may" include in the final version of the mod.

Great mod. Zimmerit? er, yes, cooking instruction? Don't boil but, zimmerit. Okay, okay, I'm ignorant but what is this stuff and what's it supposed to achieve - didn't allies have it too?

SPR=Saving Private Ryan.

Zimmerit is a paste(?) that was developed and applied to German tanks. It was an attempt to foil magnetic anti-tank mines that the Russians might stick to the hull of a tank. However, the Russians either never developed these mines or never deployed them and the Germans stopped putting Zimmerit on their tanks.

(Edited because me no spell gud and not proofread.)

Hi all , i am currently trying to make up my mind ( ie...need help and opinions ;) ) in regards to optional vehicle numbers for the Jagdpanther mod that is WIP at the moment.

http://albums.photopoint.com/j/View?u=1398959&a=10450173&p=55963389

Originally i thought ..lets go with the standard 3 digit numbering system...though this still leads to the problem of if you have more than one JP in a game with the same vehicle number( and no doubt will send Grogs into a frenzy of NO NO NO and a bit of head banging ) it will look odd.

So that leaves me with the option of using ONLY the company number as a single didgit recognition device.

If we go that route.....where would you prefer the number.... off to the left side ( right side i hope to add a spade) or on the rear escape hatch???

Would you prefer Black with white outlines or Red with white ???

Another possability is is to use Roman numerals ....or capital letters a la Kwazy's Tiger...or even letter and single number...example A2 where first company is A and platoon is 2...but not place the vehicle number .

These are just a few ideas i am kicking around in my head....i would like to make as many options possible ...but i will be limited with my phone as to the size and number of the mods i am willing to upload.( currently if i get them all done there will i think be something like10MB of Jagdpanther mods  )

Therefore if we can settle on an agreed approach i will make 4 rear bmps...

The first will be just plain no number or marking ...while the other 3 will allow you to chose 1st , 2nd or 3rd company vehicles...does that make sense. This approach will be applied to ALL the mods...so each mod will have optional numbers or none....same goes for kill rings on the gun barrel.

Regarding the plea's of those people who LIKE MUCK....i will see what i can do....mb optional clean-ish / dirty side /front/rear bmps so as everybody can pick and choose the way they want their JP to look..

I think that the Roman numerals look great even though they were an East Front marking

Some fuzzy pix of progress so far.

Tools / tracklinks/ gun cleaning rod holder added....some weathering /mucking up of wheels...wondering if you prefer to have a choice of clean/dirt wheels in same zip ?

Got to work on the rear of the mods now...choice of vehicle numbers / kill rings etc

What tri colour panther is that Pzwfer ???

I released the Panther G with zimmerit a long while back...the wiggly Panther A should be along soon...so that leaves????

I have started doing a Late Panther G with the same/similar cammo as the early Panther G..
with Zimmerit coating as well ( just dont tell the Grogs ;) )

Måkjager,

You have achieved CM Jagdpather Mod God status. That is great work . Its good to see how much you have improved the mod since our first look at it...and the choice! I better also thank all the other modders out there also while Im here (too many to mention). Your work is much appreciated.

Hope you continue with the mods! I would be interested in seeing the weathered versions.

Thanks for all the encouraging words guys.....i just try to do my best for ye.

Re: bfamily33 and bump.......well , the JP will get the winter treatment from a fellow modder with a G in his name ;) ....and i may dip my toes into the snow as well.

Shatter...thank you for remembering smile.gif

The unfortunate news is that this past week/weeks i have not had the time to do any work on the mods due to redecorating my house.

status regarding the summer/spring mods....

I have been able to work up a set of wear and tear layers for application to the mods....should be easy and quick enough to apply smile.gif

Still some tweaks to add..also looking into the possibility to adding fav Div insignia..as requested.

Winter snow...these will arrive in due course when the G MAN has time ;)

Winter whitewash.... i still have some work to do( soon Monday + ) on the rear bmp.

I have the rear bmps with 3 seperate vehicle numbers made ...114 , 134 , 223 and no number ready....all b&w or w&b ;)

So to wrap up...once i have the spring/summer/snow mods they will be sent to a host site.....and i hope that i will also have a winter worn/ winter zimm påk as well .

Sorry for the delay..but real life is snapping at my heels :(

Pardon me if there are any spelling mistakes in the above...been standing tooo near to the bar tonight ;) :D

I would like to apologise to anybody waiting on these mods. The unfortunate thing is real life has / is and will be intruding on my time.

As things stand i have some stuff to do to the mods..just a matter of applying some layer effects and a wee bit of tweeking.....and then they shall appear in due course ( B4 SANTA ) :D

To recap.....all the cammo versions are finished...just have to apply some effects.

Winter versions _...there will be three types...
Gordon hhas kindly agreed to do a white wash version , he will also be appling his "Winterized effects" to them all.
Then there is my "winter worn" version based on Gordons whitewash job.

Current thinking is to release the Winterized versions in the same zip with CMMOS support.
There will be a seperate Whitewash/Winter worn zip also with CMMOS support.

The individual versions ie Ambush , Red Brown , Green , Tri colour will also contain the Zimmerit versions as well.

There will be optional kill rings.
I am not having much success with Div signs on the front of the JP...and i may leave them out as it only increases the size of the zip.
There will be a tac sign on the rear though.
As you can see from the tac sign on the dark yellow version below ..there is some blurring to it...thats why i may just leave the signs off the front completely and just stick to the rear bmp..which also has the balkenkruze.
