Stu.G. with skirts?

I have found a number of photos of the battle of Kursk (Jul. 43)that display Stu.G. IIIs with skirts. The game does not make them avail. until Aug. 43??? Anyone have better info. on this?

Yeah, I think although the earlier link I gave out is titled "Kursk", some of the photos seem to be at a different date or location (I haven't read where it snowed during the battle of Kursk- warm and humid with scattered showers mainly is what I've been reading).

The photos I was refering to were prob. from the book, "The Battle of Kursk, David M. Glantz & Jonathan M. House" showing Stu.G. IIIs with skirts. I give the page # but I returned the book, I should be able to get a specific photo re: today, as I was going thru 4 books on the topic and I'm a bit curious now.
