Best German Tanker

Do you think that the title Best German Tanker should go to Michael Wittmann who got most of his kills in the battlefield superior Tiger? Or someone who spent their time in lesser tanks?

Someone like Arno Giesen, Ernst Barkmann or Hermann Bix who ran up impressive scores without a greatly superior weapons system to do it with.

While the Panther was a very good tank for most of it's career it did not enjoy the battlefield superiority that the Tigers did.

Didn't Wittmann spend a bit of time early on in the Stu.G. III? He performed well in that vehicle as I recall, but the others prob. did the same prior to the Vs.

Yes, he was in a Stug III. And yes, for the most part they all graduated to more powerful vehicles as the war drew to a close.

I have a scenario with Wittmann in a Stug on the SD. It is CSDT Bussard.
