Q. on "CMAK Companion" scenarios

Does anyone have an opinion on the scenarios created to accompany "The CMAK Companion: The Battery Commander, His Batman, and a Cook"? Specifically, I'm wondering if they are good scenarios to play even if you don't have the book.
