Ok, let me apologize in advance because I'm fairly certain I am missing something obvious. However, I can't figure out how to build tranports. They just aren't an option in the build list. Is there some tech I need to get first or what???

Oh yes, I have 1.02 installed

Just right click on a unit that is in a port and the option to transport will be available. You dont actually build them per se.
