Hi,

I tried to play SC on my laptop and it wouldn't load becuase the screen resolution was set to 640 x 480. From what I can tell the game ONLY works when the resolution is set to 1024 x 768. Is this true and why, if not what do I have to do to tell the game the resolution is something other than 1024 x 768?

I use 800 x 600 on my desktop, and have not exrerienced any problems.

Even if the current screen resolution is 640x480 the game will load if your system supports a resolution of 1024x768 with at least 16 bits of color. This can be checked by taking a look at your Display Settings under the Control Panel.

Now that's the problem Hubert. The laptop I was using only supported a 640 * 480 resolution. Can that be fixed?

Not sure maybe, I would suggest trying the latest driver for your video card first and then if that fails an updated video card might do the trick.
