Arty keeps on shooting until next turn?

Is it possible to give the FO´s an order to use a limited number of ammo? The problem is that the arty keeps on firing until you cancel the aiming of the FO in the next turn. To manage a good attack or counter-attack it would be very useful that the arty fires until the attack starts and infantry groups or AFV´s enter the fire zone. But the infantry runs into fire zones although the arty still fires. When you could order for instance to fire for 20 sec only it would be easier to to coordinate an attack or counter-attack.

Time your infantry and use "pause" accordingly - i.e. make sure your infantry doesn't enter the artillery firing zone until the end of the round.

Simple solution...

Either switch to smaller calibre arty as your infantry close ( switch from 152mm support to 82mm support) or even better switch from arty support to HMG and DF HE support. That's more accurate and achieves just as good suppression ( if utilised en masse).
