I'm running CM and all the scenarios, even the big ones run fine, but the "Walk in Paris" scenario runs sluggish or laggy.
Anyone have any idea why this should be? or what I can do about it?
I'm running a PIII 600, 128 MB RAM, 32 MB TNTII Ultra video card.
Thanks

Yeah, I noticed this too. I've got your specs except a Celeron-433 and it gets slow once the battle gets going.

I wonder if "A Walk in Paris" is particularly slow because of all the buildings: row upon row of them. Perhaps that many big terrain objects cramp the speed of the game engine.

I believe it is a "cumulative" thing. More on -screen textures, more troops, larger maps, etc. just lead to slower recalc times, etc. from the game. Unavoidable unfortunately.

Try throwing smoke into the mix of things, then talk sluggish. A walk in Paris is a huge graphics hog, that's why the slow down.

Hmm... A slight slow down, but over all runs fine. I can't complain. If this scenario is the worst as a graphics hog, then I'm very pleased.
Great scenario though, especially when the (snip) arrived and (snip). Brewed stuff everywhere!
