Demo crashes the machine every time:

While loading 3D graphics screen or if the scenario loads then on a random troop command but always before the first "Go"

Dell PII 333
STB 128 4meg
Soundblaster 16 PCI
Win 98/2nd
DirectX 8.0

Any suggestions?

Hi Ksak,

Try the latest reference drivers for your video card. Go to www.nvidia.com (http://www.nvidia.com) or www.3dchipset.com (http://www.3dchipset.com) to find them. You may want to try beta drivers if the official ones don't fix the problem for you.

Since STB was bought out by 3Dfx, you'll have to use reference drivers from now on.

Is your video card and motherboards BIOS's updated? If not, you may want to update them too. To do that, you'll need to visit www.stb.com/tech. (http://www.stb.com/tech.)

Also make sure your sound card drivers are updated, though that is less likely to be the crash problem.

Good luck. I hope it works for you, as this game is AWESOME!

Just installed new STB drivers on Win Nt4 box at work. Drivers are still available from www.stb.com. (http://www.stb.com.) Didn't try them with CMBO though.

Had problems installing though and took a few tries.
