Patched to 1.1b24, game still says it's 1.1b23

I've run the patch several times, but the game still says it's only 1.1b23. I've checked to make sure I'm in the right directory -- has this issue come up for anyone else?

Also, the 1.1b24 patch worked fine for my home PC -- the work PC is the one giving trouble. 650mHZ, Windows 98.

Delete the patch file from wherever you downloaded it to. Make sure its not still in a temp folder somewhere as well.

Now, redownload it. Sometimes, if a browsers cache is not refreshed properly and it sees a file with the exact same name it only *acts* like it downloads the new file. It in fact still uses the older file.

That's just one solution but sounds like the most probable. You could always just delete the b23 executable and try and reinstall.
