Since there have been quite a few CMx2 bones thrown for us, hungry pack of wolves, why not open a seperate CMx2 forum? This probably has been brought up and I know it's a tad early, but having all the info on the subject in one forum sure makes it a lot more accessible.
Regards,
Gryphon
I actually suggested this the first day I realized there would be a CM2. I really agree, this forum says CMAK not CM2. And I dont see anything against CM2 discussion. Would be nice
I'll assume that they'll add the new forum once a demo for CMx2 is released, as they did with CMBB and then CMAK.
Hopefully that demo will be out within a few months as CMxx looks like it's dying on the vine if you ask me. :(

There are hundreds of us still enjoying CM*, and that's going to be the case for some time yet - predictions of its demise are premature. How long have you had this problem?? ;)

1. TSD crashes and burns and it's a couple of days before anybody even notices and posts a message. Back in the "hayday", if the Scen. Depot was down for an hour there was 10 messages asking what the problem is.
2. Just what we're talking about here - 15 threads on the front page about CMx2 and 2 threads about CMAK in the CMAK forum - and those are mod announcements (I'm guessing at those numbers, but I bet they're close).
3. CMBB forum has had 2 new posts in 2 days. 'nuff said.
4. CMBO forum hasn't had a post in how many days?
Sadly, I think we're still playing CMxx, but quietly and not discussing it - and without the enthusiasm of before because of the high expectations of CMx2.
Just my ramblings, no need for anybody to pick it apart. smile.gif

Frankly GJK, there isn't much to say about the current games... we've had the last five years to talk them to death!

Pzman is rigtht. CMAK is the "newest" game and even that was released almost two years ago. I'm never amazed at how few posts there are but how many :D
As for the CMx2 Forum... we will open one up soon enough. We have always started the discussion about the new game in the previous game's Forum until the time is right to really open up the discussion. The time is alllllllmost right, but not quite right. You'll know when it is because we have a way of making things known ;)
And no... there will be no demo posted, so let's get that bit of speculation snuffed out before it starts!

I agree. I found even in these late days, CMAK and CMBB battle still got high download counts.

If recent BFC games are any indication I suspect we'll see a CMx2 board show up just about the same time as the dedicated Space Lobsters (or whatever the title) web site and screenshots appear. Otherwise we'll be pretty much in the dark on topics to discuss. Should we be debating the range and accuracy of musket shot or the effect of cross winds on TOW missiles?

There is bound to be a discussion on the effect of musket shot on TOW missiles.
