Hi guys,
I've been playing the first mission of the Crossroads campaign over the past couple days. I'm about an hour into the mission and I've got complete control over the green area of the map. There are still 30 minutes left and it's been quite a few turns since I've seen any action from the Syrians. Do I have to continue watching the next 30 turns for the mission to end, or is there any other way to move forward?

You can call a ceasefire and the battle will end. Just make sure you occupy all your victory objectives or you will not get credit for them.

Cool thanks I'll try that. I was dreading having to watch 30 turns of nothing.

Here's something I've always wondered: Is there any penalty for calling a ceasefire? That is, if I've occupied all my objectives and have the enemy on the run with no hope of a comeback, will a ceasefire lower my degree of victory compared to just letting the clock run out?

Dam good question, DzrtFox, what was the results when you "Ceasefire the mission"?

I'm pretty sure that ceasefiring doesn't decrease your victory margins. I ceasefired in the second-to-last campaign mission after I took all of my objectives and saw no noticeable enemy presence, and I got a Total Victory.

Seems people are getting better or more likely I need to tweak it for the latest patches.
I updated the Ghost but not Crossroads.

I planned it for an hour but some players complained and said is better to have more time and call a cease fire if you get to the objective earlier.

I'll put it back to one hour since lately I'm all for time pressure!!! :D

There is a counter attack at 40 min into the mission if I recalled it right.

In the last Thunder campaign mission, I had taken heavy casualties and only taken half of my objectives. Just to see what would happen, I offered a cease fire... and won!! I'm not sure if that is a result of unbalanced points, or what. But that just seems strange. I've since done the same in several campaign scenarios where it was going to go badly and cease-fired to win (Only to test it, of course!).

I played two TF Thunder campaign missions tonight and ceasefired early after securing all that needed securing. Total victory. So I guess ceasefires just assess the situation in the same way that the end of the scenario does.

Thanks Guys, wanted to make sure that it was working correctly, now back to building my scenario called "Into the Fire".

The cease-fire ability works well assuming you use it appropriately. If you're in a campaign and there's a really hard defensive mission where you hold all of the objectives to begin with, you can just cease-fire at the beginning and skip it.
