When playing Move it or Lose it scenarion my computer locks up on first turn. 196 MB RAM, Geforce 2 6.31 drivers, P3 700 and CM ver 1.05. I don't have lock ups with any other scenario.

If that's the only scenario you have problems with, maybe you'll want to create a very large scenario with the editor and see if it has any problems.
Is there a particular point during the first turn where your computer locks up ? Is it usually when you're plotting moves or when the computer is trying to calculate the turn (blue progress bar) or the AI is thinking (light green progress bar) ?
Have you tried any of the BETAs and do they exhibit the same problem ?
Move It or Lose It starts out with a lot of instant action.

Large secnarios do tend to crash. Well small one don't because hay the Bigger they are the more they freeze well with my computer that is.

The lock up occured during the Setup phase and the first turn. Thinking about it, the lockup occurs after I issue one or two orders, at most, and the lockup occurs when I execute the order. I haven't tried any betas yet.

So you're saying that you issue one or two orders and then execute the turn and turning the calculation of the first turn this is when the computer locks up ? Did you say that during placement of units during Setup that you also lock up ?
What's somewhat unique about this scenario is that the action starts almost immediately. There are a lot of floating point calculations to be performed on the first turn due to all the firing.
If you've played large battles already in CM (a lot of units firing during one turn), then I wouldn't see why Move It or Lose It would pose such a problem. Though I'd think that you would get an error just loading up the scenario, maybe you could delete the Move It or Lose It scenario off your hard drive and recopy it from the CDROM.

Did you check your task list and verify that your running nothing else in the background? MS-Wheel, SpeedKey, Task Scheduler, Anti-Virus, etc... I sometimes get hung when I neglect to disable some of these background tasks.

I have MSWheel running. But with 192 MB RAM I don't see how that would be a problem.
System locked up in Setup phase after I tried moving some units.
Subsequent play, I skipped the Setup phase and in first turn tried moving a vehicle off a bridge when system froze.

I'm not sure why, all I can offer is in my experience, if I disable everything but SYSTRAY, and EXLPORER the game runs for hours upon hours without a crash, hang, frame shutter, whatever on my system.
I have a PIII - 866Mhz with something like 256mb of RAM, BTW.
Have you tried clearing out your task list?

I haven't tried cleaning out my systray. I'm waiting for CM 1.1 patch.
