QB Set-up ?bug?

I enter the QB set-up screen, all the options appear. I select any force mix and set any options I like, I hit OK and I am booted out to the main menu.

Any and all ready-made scenarios seem to work fine.

WinXP SP2
Intel C2Duo e6700
2gb Corsair DDR2
ATI Radeon x1950xtx with Catalyst 7.4-44981

What do you mean? Why would a particular terrain type be available for selection but not be allowed to be played on?

For fun and profit. Look in the Quick Battle Maps directory (in Game Files). Those are the combinations you are allowed.

OK, by the looks of these files, I would assume that something named "QB Meeting Engagement Forest.btt" means I can set up a QB in a forest, correct?

I still am not able to set a QB up in a forest of any type or force mix. Why?

You can set up a meeting engagement or assault in a forest, but NOT an attack or probe. Check the very first option for battle type.

It will NOT let me set up an ME, Assault or ANY OTHER TYPE OF GAME IN THE QB SET UP. I get booted out to the main menu.

OK. Try:
Battle Type = Attack
Environment = Open

Leave everything else alone.

Or you could set both Battle Type and Environment to random.

I will try all battle / terrain combinations and report what I find. So far I just tried a few that I have an interst in playing.

Are there any files in your Quick Battle Maps directory? Other than that, I have no idea what the deal is.

yes, I have 14 different files in the QB Map folder.

Can't setup a Quick Battle.
No matter what options i choose - after pressing OK, i land on the main menu.

I just tested some Forest combinations and even though there is a map for it, I can confirm that Meeting Engagements set to Forest map types will not currently work. I am adding this to our bug list as it should be a simple fix.

We also do plan on adding more Quick Battle Maps as well and I believe you can create them as well but i will to check on the proper names for them as my area of expertise really wasn't with the editor side of things.

I have this same problem but with hills. I haven't found a tiny or small QB set-up with hills that does not dump me back to the CMSF main menu.
