Crash on launch

I downloaded, installed, and when I double click the desktop shortcut I get the error "Application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000005). Click on ok to terminate the application." I click ok and the same box pops up again, another click and I'm back to the desktop.

I haven't been able to enter my license or anything.

System is running WinXP and a GeForce 7800 GT.

Any ideas?

Yes, please check the Troubleshooting Thread on top of the forum. This happens due to DEP (Data Execution Prevention) not being supported properly. A number of possible fixes is mention in the Thread I believe.

What's important is to make sure that you call up the DEP window and click OK at least once even if all seems to be set correctly by default.
