Would anyone be interested in playing some counter-insurgency missions based off of Iraq ?

Small scale stuff like IED attacks, followed by cordon and search. Maybe some block to block city raids.

I would find that interesting, i am currently working on two scenarios that fit that bill. One will be ready for testing within the next day or two.

Thanks for starting this thread, I've been pondering the same things.

My problem is that I just can't settle down and make a scenario.
I have too many ideas to try out and end up wasting time messin' around with the editor.

Possible scenario ideas:

- Expand on the Syria theme with scenario's based on another axis of advance towards Damascus, etc.

- OIF Mar-Apr 03: 3ID battles (these can almost be a mini campaign), smaller actions (101stAB, 173rdAB, 82AB)

- OIF May 03->: stuff that BD mentioned.

- Gunnery Range :)

It's time to just sit down and get to work.

I plan on modding SF Army units into USMC and doing Battle of Fallujah.

Work is coming along on my first scenario. I just need to work some bugs out, tweak some AI, and maybe balance the units better. It's based on an actual event, but with far more action than reality had.

Just posted my first scenario, Battle for Waja, for testing. It simulates a battle in Afghanistan (not Iraq i know), where US forces are pushing resurgent Taliban out of a fortified town.
