See the fellas in the back? Those hatches arent for keeping cool, those are fighting hatches, Like the stryker hatches that squads can fire from. Not working right now, something to be fixed?

I never let this thing near anything even remotely resembling a fight. :p

its the same with BMP's and BTR's - troops can't fire out the sides. Not a huge problem I know due to the fact you hardly ever need them to but it might be easily fixed. I'm no programmer though

Its two more sets of eyes watching the sides and rear of the vehicle. My brother rode one all the way to Baghdad, they never buttoned up, even in firefights.

Their LAV column was ambushed on a road in the middle of the night by entrenched infantry on both sides of the road. They were killing crazy charging fedayeen 10 and 20 yards from their vehicles, from the fighting hatches.

Not sure an LAV would last long with crazy fedayeen barking at the back door... In SF that is, not RL.

Honestly, I have had Humvees that do better than LAVs, come to think of it, in one scenario my Trucks did better. No kidding...... its a bullet magnet....... Still its a looker....

What are your problem with them then? I cant recall that ive lost anyone sofar exept to a tank once? I just use them as a stryker and that works like a charm.

Edit: just remember I lost 1 to mines and 1 to a ATGM as well in the campaign.

Right with Chainsaw on this. It's a battle taxi with a good long range support weapon on it. No need to get too close.
