Well, I finally bought the Marines module and updated all the Patches. I am amazed! The last time I played was 1.08 and the last time I was seriously playing was 1.05. Needless to say the changes are great. I still see some of the old bugs, but things are a lot better than they were. I do have a couple of questions:

1. Have the developers said for far they want to take this game? I remember when it first came out people asking about the British and they are on the way now. Are we going to see other European armies? Will there be a North Korea/Russia/Iran module to fight there?

2. Where are the player made battles located?

Great to be playing this game again! Congradulations to the developers for working on making this one of the great tactical level games on the market!

I think Steve said they had a Soviet-style '5 year plan' for the game engine.
I'll probably get this all wrong but I think he said three CMSF modules (Brits and NATO to come), then the much-anticipated WWII title - 3 or 4 modules (at least). Once the WWII game engine advancements have been firmed-up they're thinking of transitioning the modern CMSF equipment over to Europe and update the game engine, which would imply fighting Russians head-to-head, or invading Ireland or perhaps even conquering France! :D

Count on your fingers that's at least seven releases, maybe more. Steve says he really wants to start work on 'Space Lobsters' but by then the oceans will probably have come up and indundated the coasts.

Space Lobsters of Doom is something I would love to see. All the restrictions on history lifted and the developers imaginations let free to caper madly. It's bound to be good.

What do you mean IF? Where do you think our lobsters came from? That's right, the Space Lobsters colonized our planet with their offspring in the expectation that they would develop intelligence and they'd have another world to exploit.

I can only imagine how upset they were when the stupid apes, APES for pete's sake, got there first.

Yep, they've got a score or two to settle.

Well ironiclly I am stationed in Dutch Harbor and if you watch the Discovery Channel you know what that means...the Deadliest Catch. Now I know that we don't do lobseters, but if Space Crabs have anything to do with Space Lobsters, then we have a real infestation on our hands.

*sigh* I just thought about what I said, I'll bet this post will be locked.

I definitely want a SLOD Vs SLOD campaign. Made by Paper Tiger, it would be just marvelous :D

Also, was an explination ever given for Light, Medium and Heavy airstrikes? I remeber people asking but don't remember any reply that was given.

For leaders, does their benefits or detractions affect the troops ability or emotions? Meaning is their fire going to be more devistating with a +2 leader or does their leadership modifiers affect their ability to rally or being kept from being broken?

The Hammer's Slammers is a good model for SLOD... :D
