Larry Levandowski from the Armchair General online magazine has posted an in-depth 4 page review of the just released WW2 real-time tactical blockbuster by 1C Company. The overall review score is 88%, and here's a quote: The true test of historical accuracy for any tactical game, is how well real-life tactics work on the game map.  Martin Deppe from the leading German print and online games magazine Gamestar has recently posted his review of the english version of Theatre of War 2. His summary: "Realistic world war for weapon experts".

It's here! The first patch to the juuuust released Theatre of War 2: Africa 1943 brings the game up to version 1.1.0, and includes such thrilling features as:  Improved RAM handling on 32 bit systems (especially Vista)
- "Save As..." function added to Map Editor
- Soldier reaction time decreased
- You can now play gunfire sounds in encyclopedia (left-click on gun icon)
- Multiplayer server search system for compatibility with certain networks improved
- SmartPause mode customization added
- Many other fixes and enhancements

 Presenting today a new video from the soon to be released first 1.1.0 patch, showing the new Smart Pause mode feature which can be launched from a special configuration file. This feature is very useful when multiple events occur during intense battles. When crucial events happen (soldier dies, vehicle damaged) the game pauses automatically and the camera moves to the place of the event.
