One of the best ways to stay in touch with what's happening at Battlefront.com is with our Battlefront browser toolbar, powered by Conduit. Conduit won the Web 2.0 Award for this innovative solution connecting millions of users. You'll be the first to know when a new patch is available or a new game is released!
It's available for both Internet Explorer and Firefox and it connects you directly to the main communications channels at Battlefront: feeds, Blogs, direct links to all gaming sections and discussion forums, and much more. It even includes its own chatroom. The toolbar also features a host of other nice optional tools and helpful gadgets, such as a popup blocker, email notifier, online translator, online radio, shortcuts to documents or your notepad, games, configurable internet search and much much more. For a more in-depth look and explanation of the features available in the Battlefront Community Toolbar, please go here: Toolbar Help Page One of the best features of the toolbar perhaps is that it's always changing, always up to date, and will evolve over time. We're planning to add various multiplayer features to it (e.g. a lobby for PBEM as well as online play) or quick links to mod and scenario repositories, and much more. All of this is free of course, it is fully configurable and you can decide yourself which functions to use and which functions to disable. You will never miss a thing of what's going on at Battlefront and will always be the first to know! The toolbar comes with a simple installer and uninstalls cleanly if you don't like it, and you can of course hide it as well if you don't need it. 1) the toolbar is not installed by default. You need to opt-in. If you opt-in by mistake, you can easily uninstall it.

2) the toolbar is not adware. Not anymore than Google Search itself is adware (using Google Adwords). Here is a link to the privacy policy for the toolbar:

3) you can choose which search engine you use. The toolbar installs a search engine powered by conduit, but you can change the settings at will:
