The aim of this book is to present the reader with a highly detailed and comprehensive examination of the uniforms and insignia typical for Finnish volunteers of the 1941-1943 period. Using a mix of many original period black & white photographs, and contemporary color detail photographs, all forms of jackets, caps, unit and rank insignia, helmets, cuff titles, winter clothing, tent quarters, and camouflage accessories are covered.

The author is focusing on such "Finn-heavy" units as the Finnisches Freiwilligen-Bataillon der Waffen-SS and the "Nordland" and "Westland" regiments, but is also able to provide much useful information on uniforms of the Waffen-SS in general.
