People's Republic of China

1st Pattern Reversible
Official Name
(?)
Years Used
1980s
Used By
Army
Notes
This is the first camouflage pattern issued to the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA). It is made from a very thin, very lightweight cloth which certainly must have degraded quickly under field conditions. Reinforced knees, seat, and elbows attempt to address this problem. The colors can vary by quite a bit, as the two sets of examples above show.
