I do not know much about this unfirom other than it is (was?) worn by Vietnamese Marines. The unique Bamboo leaf pattern gives it a distinctive and probably fairly effective camouflage capability. Production variations have lead to a variety of different colorations, though not radically different from each other.

Like the above, I don't have much info on the use of this strange white Woodland like pattern. The only thing I know is that this uniform was worn by Vietnamese police units, probably sometime in the 1970s and/or 1980s. As you can see for yourself, it is hard to imagine an environment in southeast Asia that would call for a white based camo. Plus, these things must be hard to keep clean looking! |
