Notes

This is what is commonly called the Australian Bunny pattern camo. Just look for the little bunnies and you will see why :-) There are a couple of different versions of the uniform since there was an unusually long trials period. The pattern changed little during this time, but the uniform cut changed significantly.

Notes
|
What you see above is the 3rd Pattern DPDU, which is easy to distinguish by its bright yellow background. 2nd Pattern had a much more gray tone to the background and was used only for a year or so before being replaced. The 1st Pattern had more muted colors that were significantly different than either.
The 1st Pattern is exceptionally rare since it was only used for a short trials period. 2nd Pattern was official issue, but only a small number of sets were produced before switching to 3rd Pattern. Getting a hold of even 3rd Pattern is tough since the Australian government clamped down on inventory control, making it a criminal offence to transfer issued kit to civilians. Fortunately, I got my set just before the law went into effect. |
