I don't have much info on this rather unique unofficially named Aegean pattern, but from what I gather it was in use from about 1970 until 1980 when it was replaced with a US like Woodland uniform. It was issued to Paras and Marines only as far as I know, with it being used during the occupation of Cyprus in 1974.
