In 1999 the Irish Defense Forces finally adopted their first official camouflage uniform. Besides very limited use of British DPM clothing, Ireland had only seen olive drab uniforms until this time. The pattern is similar to French Central Europe at a distance, but distinct enough that it is easy to tell the two apart up close.
